171 - it's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas!

A stroll around Hillarys Marina at night is always a pretty affair with all of the lights and reflections, but with the addition of the Christmas tree things get extra magical! I'm a big ol' sucker for Christmas and am looking forward to a Friday night this week spent filling my house with fairy lights and tinsel and shiny baubles and a Saturday of baking many cakes of shortbread. How do you guys get into the Christmas spirit?

  1. My Christmas spirit varies.. When kids and grandkids were small, it was easy because of their excitement. Last year I downsized and it was a dud. Being practical at Christmas drains the pleasure of the season. This year I already have a flocked tree with red streamers in our living room with wreaths and ribbons on the door, candles in the front windows and more to come!

  2. I usually think of Christmas as being red and green but I admit I LOVE the blue in these photos!

  6. Thanks for the reminder, Aimee! I lost my Christmas spirit for a while after I lost my parents, but this year, it's stronger than it's been in a very long time.
