3/2016 - Health

I don't know about you guys, but December was a total naughty food gorge-fest for me. So much so that I hit the point of being sick of chocolate. Seriously. That doesn't usually happen for me. So! Along with everybody else I'm at the point of trying to health again. Which for me requires healthy snacks to get me through the day and help me to avoid the bad stuff. I find when I'm after new healthy but not boring recipes I usually turn to the Chocolate Covered Katie blog and this time was no different. Crunchy oat bars, soft oatmeal almond butter cookies and spiced nuts... now the hard part is to not eat them all in one hit!

  2. They look very, very good. I make energy balls - nuts, seeds, mixed fruit, dates, apricots, cacao, ginger, bit of cinnamon all blended with molasses, make balls with your hands, then roll in coconut. (You get to scrape/lick your hands as well!)

  6. I seem to hit a period every holiday season where I go from Thanksgiving to New Year eating at least one piece of sugar daily. It gets old, and feels gross after. In 2016, I am with you - actually trying to cut processed sugar 6 days a week. Good luck!

  7. Yummm..looks so good!!

I ate too much sweet stuff over the past month or so too.
It is hard to avoid. Co-workers start bringing in irresistible treats in early December and now they are still bringing in all the leftovers!!! Oh well, have to work on my willpower!!!
Love your blog, by the way!

  8. Oh these look so yummy! I know exactly what you mean too - so much chocolate over Christmas and now I almost can't look at the stuff, haha! It's slow going, but I am definitely healthy minded at the moment. - Tasha
