My office really is in the best spot in the city. Directly above the train station has always been a plus, but over the last few months the area around 140 William has really grown and developed. It now includes lots of great restaurants and cafes and is full of the cool street art that seems to have overtaken walls all around Perth over the last few years. Tonight was the official launch event and so Mum and Dad came in to have a little after work early dinner and check things out with me. We decided to go to East Village - one of the newest venues (it only opened a couple of weeks ago). They describe themselves as a 'purveyor of classic American dining'. Having never been to America I don't know how accurate that is, but maaaaaan, my pulled pork burger was pretty darn tasty. The fit out was quite cool too - all in all a great way to finish off the work day.
Hmmmm, that sure looks yummy! And like a fancy place.
ReplyDeleteI love pulled pork and that one looks excellent. I rather like loft or quasi industrial style restaurants too. Lucky you working in the middle of all that!
ReplyDeleteThat pulled pork sandwich looks good, but you must have a substantial appetite to eat it all. If it is truly an American restaurant, they will serve too much tasty food.
ReplyDeleteThis is my kind of place, thanks for bringing us inside!
ReplyDeleteAh, I do love pulled pork and that does look delicious!! What a great place to eat!! Great captures as always, Aimee!! Hope you're getting ready for a wonderful weekend!! Enjoy!!
ReplyDeleteWhat an exciting place to work so near. I wish there were more places I could walk to from work. That burger looks pretty darn good and probably one I'd have to eat with a knife and fork.
ReplyDeleteThese pics leave me feeling hungry!
ReplyDeleteLove the look of this place and the look of that burger although it looks huge!
ReplyDeleteYou're so lucky to be close to all that choice of restaurants. The decor of East Village looks interesting.
ReplyDeleteSieht sehr lecker aus der Burger.
