166 - Mary Street

I love when I go for a walk and stumble across unexpected prettiness. This is Mary Street in Highgate, known to me almost exclusively for the FABULOUS bakery located on the corner of Beaufort Street (previously seen here). I love this natural archway of trees (I'm big on archways...). On this warm sunny day with the leaves raining down with each puff of wind I couldn't resist pulling out the camera!

  2. An archway of trees is always beautiful, don't you think? The leaves look golden and would make an attractive art piece.

  3. Looks quite mighty!
No idea, though, if I´d park my car on a stormy day/night there...

  6. Very beautiful. I love streets like this too and they are very few in the deserts of Arizona.

  8. Fine looking arch of trees over the street. When I was growing up every little town in Illinois had elm trees that arched over the streets, but they are mostly gone now victims of Dutch elm disease.
