25/2016 - Brrrr!

While I really do enjoy a good storm, I've gotta say, these crisp, sunny winter days are just beautiful. Perfect weather for a lunch time wander around the city - certainly provides a nice break from all of the crosseye-inducing spreadsheets I've got going on in the office at the moment!

172 - Christmas Elves

Friday evening... after everyone else had gone home... the Christmas Elves came out to play in our office! Unfortunately photos just don't seem to do this style of decorating justice. But as you walk around the corner now its definitely a BAM! CHRISTMAS! situation. Looking forward to the reactions on Monday morning!!

Thirty One - Saunders Trouser Carnival

Now I know this is a weird title. But if you look closely the sign in this newly opened walkway that's what it says. Saunders Trouser Carnival. What that means... I'm not sure but it made me chuckle! I was really drawn towards the mixture of metal and plant in the fence along the wall - I think the intertwining textures worked out quite nice in macro... This incredible artwork was a collaboration between Australian artists Vans the Omega and Beastman and adds to the ever growing collection of artworks on the walls of 140 William Street where I am lucky enough to work. The styles of these two artists really complement each other and add up to a wonderful piece of art.

Fourteen - Urban Sanctuaries

I swear, one day I'll do some more urban pictures on here. I do seem to be spending a lot of time wandering around either very green or very blue places lately.... I do love that even though I work smack bang in the middle of the city, I have a number of choices of very pretty places to go get some fresh air on my lunch break. The whole eating lunch at your desk thing really doesn't work for me! This very pretty little pathway can be found in between the Supreme Court Gardens and the Stirling Gardens (where I quite often park myself under the trees with my lunch).

Eleven - Ugh

Well. That's it. I had three wonderful weeks of not getting up early every morning and catching a train to the city. Now the holiday is over and man... first days at work are hard! But hey, looking on the bright side - I'm lucky to have a good job :) Some people would say that my desk is terribly messy. I prefer to think of it as... well lived in. I feel that if your desk is impeccably tidy, you probably aren't doing enough work...
