Well. That's it. I had three wonderful weeks of not getting up early every morning and catching a train to the city. Now the holiday is over and man... first days at work are hard! But hey, looking on the bright side - I'm lucky to have a good job :) Some people would say that my desk is terribly messy. I prefer to think of it as... well lived in. I feel that if your desk is impeccably tidy, you probably aren't doing enough work...
The first day back is always the worst Aimee plus the Monday thing :) Totally agree about the messy desk.. or it might just be because my desk is such a mess also :)
ReplyDeletehehe love you Mamma!
DeleteIsn't there a sign somewhere that says a clean desk is the sign of a sick mind? :)
ReplyDeleteYa, that first day back is always a killer. Your desk makes mine organized. Get busy. hahaha
ReplyDeleteHi Aimee, I´m a friend of your Mum, too, November 2013 we shortly met in front of your workplace. Great to see you blogging - brightens up my Monday, aka first work-day of the week. I go with Birdman - makes my workplace look kinda a bit organzed :-)
ReplyDeletegood luck for this return to work
ReplyDelete"Messy" is one of those words that can have many definitions...and I figure so long as I know where things are and where they go, I couldn't possibly be messy.
ReplyDeleteThe top of my desk might be reasonably, but not totally tidy- but the desk drawers, however, are chaos personified.
ReplyDeleteI must be terribly busy although there is order to my mess!
ReplyDeleteAt work I'm like William. At home, more like you! :-) It gets better after a few days back, you'll see! :-)
ReplyDeleteI tend to have the routine of messy desk to tidy desk to messy desk. What that means is during the day, as I teach, the mess builds - books dumped between lessons. At the end of the day, i try to organise stuff in piles for the next day. Friday is major tidy before the next week. End of school term is major wipe out. But it all gets messy in no time. I teach too many different subjects. Love the first macro of paperclips.
ReplyDeleteEven if my desk is tidy now at some point there will be notebooks everywhere! It's a temporary state but I try my hardest! Thank you for the lovely comments, 365 is so addictive, I loved it. You end up with a great little photo album at the end of it too. - Tasha
ReplyDeleteThat is a wonderful macro of the paper clips! I have the same philosophy about a messy desk. Mine was very messy, but I always knew where everything was.
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to get back to work after a holiday! Your desk doesn't look that messy, at work I seem to be tidying up all the time, but at home I have a very messy desk!
ReplyDeleteYour desk looks perfect! Happy new day at work for you! Early morning here in Norway.
