Fifty - Who knew they were so fluffy?

I've posted a photo of a Banksia flower here before, but I don't think I've ever looked at one at this stage of its life up close before... So much more like a cool fluffy checkerboard than I expected!

    Banksias look quite exotic to me! Is this the plant that produces Banksia Pods?

    The first photo almost suggests that the banksia is riddled with a touch of snow. Beautiful.

    I wouldn't have recognized it in that stage! It's interesting how flowers look in different seasons. Love your shots.
