I feel like I'm spending forever on the Sculptures by the Sea... So I've decided to do a bit of a combo post with a number of different sculptures, and naturally I felt that three chubby figures would work well with each other. Two of these I think are adorable. One might give me nightmares. Guess which is which!
'Is This A Step Forward?' by Keld Moseholm (Denmark)
'The ascetic' by Naidee Changmoh (Thailand)
'Babies Three Pieces' by David Cerny (Czech Republic)
Hey 'cakes, I like these sculpture pieces. Less is ofter more.
ReplyDeleteThe fourth one particularly appeals to me. I find myself wondering what the kid thinks of it all.
ReplyDeleteImpressive posting. I don't think I'd ever tire of seeing photos from this Sculptures by the Sea. They are a bounty of beauty and so many angles and directions one can hold a lens to! You are so lucky, I wish we'd get something even close to this.
ReplyDeleteThese are terrific and FUN!! Thanks so much for sharing them, Aimee!! Hope your week is off to a great start! Enjoy!!
ReplyDeleteI like them all but the last one may give you a bit of a fright.
ReplyDeleteI kind of like the 4th picture and the child near the foot of the sculpture. Looking forward to see more interesting sculptures.
ReplyDeletehahahaha this post is just awesome. Personally, the last picture would give me nightmares!! That faceless head!! Ps--thanks for making me laugh today.

Your picture N°4 is really fabulous ! I like the meeting between the two "babies" !
ReplyDeleteOh I love the 3 sculptures all holding a book (?).
ReplyDeleteAnd the nightmare would come, if you ask me, from the last photo..
Very funny the forth.
ReplyDeleteWell done.
Greetings.
Fun stuff! Did you get to the sculpture inside or the Bathers Beach WA sculptures?
ReplyDeleteI didn't but I'm going back on Friday so hopefully then...
DeleteGreat sculptures. The 4th one seems quite symbolic... those with less may in fact be richer in life wealth than most. That little guy beams happiness...
