Four - It's too hot today

Oh my goodness. It's too hot today. 44.5 degrees Celsius in fact. My air conditioner is not working at the moment. Ugh. So much water consumed. I know the second shot today is not overly exciting, but as I sat in my little sauna of a house I was pleased to be able to find beauty in something as simple as the condensation on the side of my water bottle...

  1. Much too hot! I don't think it's been that hot in my part of the world as long as I can remember.

  2. 44C. Been there, done that. In Greece a few times. Not very nice at all. Try to stay cool now!

  3. It is -11˚C here with a windchill of -22˚C! Quite a difference. I don't know if I could function in your temps!

  4. The condensation creates some rather remarkable patterns. Our couple of days of heat on my Mornington Peninsula lapsed into fires - one just a few kilometres away from me. But we were lucky to get rains that saved what could have been a far more terrible situation.

  5. Hi Aimee, we shortly met in your work-break Nov 2013 with your Mum - maybe this may cool you down a tad: 4C over here, brrr.
Great you started such a cool blog, I love photography and hopefully get inspiration and learn from yours (just "everyone" with more than four legs freaks me out, sooo, hi in this post, not the actual ;-)...)

  6. That picture really got me thinking of ways to keep cool in that blistering heat. If you take that water bottle after you get your pictures of the condensation and hold it against your neck, you will feel cooler instantly. Placing anything cool on that vein that runs up your neck will tell the brain you are cold, and the body will respond.

  7. You know it is a steamer when you take that water bottle out of the refrigerator and see that moisture in a few minutes. I like to keep my refrigerator stocked with these bottles during heatwave. I take them out and just rub the bottles on my head, neck, back, and legs, it really does make a big difference in the heat.

  8. Our air conditioning went out recently, but it was ""only"" 35 degrees. Thankfully, a repair guy got here late in the afternoon and got us cooled down.

That's a stunning photo, would love to have it as my wallpaper on phone and desktop. Hope you continue to develop your talent! Stay cool.
